Position Overview
Anthem Structural Engineers is seeking a talented and detail-driven Structural Engineer with 5–8 years of experience to join their Golden or Boulder office. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in the high-end residential market—designing one-of-a-kind homes with leading architects and builders across Colorado, the Mountain West, and Beyond.
This is an in-person position based in either their Golden or Boulder office. Their team culture is built around collaboration, mentorship, and daily engagement, which they believe is essential to delivering the level of creativity and quality their clients expect.
The ideal candidate has a passion for fine architecture and complex residential structures, enjoys hands-on collaboration with architects and builders, and takes pride in crafting elegant, constructible engineering solutions. You’ll be surrounded by a team that values design excellence, technical rigor, and long-term relationships.

What You’ll Do
  • Design and detail structural systems for high-end custom homes—wood, steel, concrete, and specialty framing systems
  • Collaborate directly with architects, contractors, and owners to bring creative architectural visions to life
  • Prepare structural drawings, specifications, and calculations to the highest standard of accuracy and clarity
  • Perform construction observations, field coordination, and on-site evaluations
  • Contribute to concept design sessions and help guide projects from schematic design through construction
  • Mentor younger staff, share technical insights, and grow into a leadership role within Anthem’s high-end residential practice
What We’re Looking For
  • 5–8 years of experience in structural design (custom residential experience preferred)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  •  Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (RISA, RAM, Revit Structure, Bluebeam)
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with architects, contractors, and clients
  • Strong sense of design and attention to architectural detail
  • Experience with hillside sites, complex framing, or mountain environments a plus
What Sets You Apart
  • A passion for architecture and craftsmanship—you take pride in helping realize exceptional design
  • Collaborative mindset—you believe the best ideas come from teamwork and open communication
  • Curiosity and creativity—you enjoy exploring new ways to solve structural challenges
  • Professional maturity—you take ownership, communicate proactively, and deliver consistent quality
  • Desire to grow—you see a long-term home in a firm that values development and trust
